This takes place in Redding, Connecticut during the American Revolutionary War. It tells of the trials and hardships of being a family during this time. It outlines the split between Loyalists and Patriots in the war, and their different opinions. It also shows the crime, devastation, and death that occurred during this time. This book tells the inspirational story of a boy, Tim, who looked up to his brother, Sam, and would do anything to look good in his mind. When his brother joins the rebel side of the war even though their father is a loyalist, the family has to learn how to get along in this war, what to do without Sam, and how to be patient until the war is over. Watch what happens as you follow Tim and his family through the war in this amazing story. You'll love reading to the end as you see the family change, and the war progress.
